Fun in the Sun
After photographing an Eastern Kansas Horseman's Association (EKHA) horse show in Abilene this past Saturday, I wondered to myself when would I ever learn to wear sunscreen? Apparently never as I am sporting my latest burn. Being at the show brought up a lot of fun memories from showing when I was younger, even if it was from a different perspective (i.e., from the middle of the arena on the ground instead of from the rail on a horse!) I'm excited about the pictures and have been working on getting them up for ordering, but they aren't done quite yet! I decided to randomly pick a few to put up here as a sneak peek for everyone!
I had a great time at the show, and it was so much fun to see familiar faces, along with lots of new ones that weren't so familiar!
Stay tuned and check back because HOPEFULLY tomorrow night I will get the pictures up for ordering, along with instructions. Until then, have a nice evening!
I remember this guy... Lester!

A little less rain, a little more dust, this would have looked even more awesome!

She's got quite a stride!

They've got a nice turn going here!

Ears forward + smiling child = very cute picture!

Taking a breather after reining....

Stay tuned for more details!

Adam and Chelsea - the preview!
So now that I've recovered from driving in Wichita (hey, when you grew up 10 miles from town, Wichita is a big city, ya'll hear?) I got started on Adam and Chelsea's pictures. As I go through and edit, I pick out some of my favorites from the day...here they are!
The intricate back of Chelsea's beautiful dress, expertly laced up by Maid of Honor Jessica.....

The rings....

Chelsea made a stunning bride:

Chelsea and her dad making their way down the aisle....

The church was absolutely gorgeous...

A few sweet moments...It's easy to see how in love Chelsea and Adam are:

You gotta love a girl who gets married in comfortable shoes....

Walking outside the church:

I loved this arch on the house next to the church...

Bridal party:

First dance.....

Chels and Adam, I hope you have a great time on your honeymoon. Your wedding was beautiful and I wish you the best!

Whew!!
I am a bit relieved now that Chelsea and Adam's wedding is over..not because I wasn't looking forward to it, but because I managed to navigate through Wichita to their reception and not get lost! :-) (Adam gives really good directions...thanks!) They had a beautiful day for their wedding, and I will be posting a few previews on my blog soon! Check back in a few days for some images!

Ty and Brandi
After a week of nasty weather, I was so glad it cleared up for Ty and Brandi's big day. It was warm, but not unbearable, and it turned out to be a beautiful day. I really enjoyed spending the day with both of you and your family, and I was glad I got the chance to meet Aidan. I know I said I was only going to put 3 or 4 up, but once I got started I just couldn't stop!
Congratulations Ty and Brandi, your wedding was beautiful, and it was easy to see how much you love each other.
My ULTIMATE favorite from the entire today...

Can we say heartbreaker?

Mama's boy!

I know it's not a traditional crop, but I kind of liked it!

Brandi's aunt could start a new career as a cake decorator, don't you think? This cake was not only gorgeous but delicious!

Another Visit With My 4 -Legged Friends
On Friday afternoon I headed out to the
HSHP again to catch some images of the incredible animals up for adoption. With the Humane Society's upcoming Garage Sale, Betty and I decided we needed some new images for the posterboard.
There are some truly amazing animals out at the shelter, and I encourage anyone who is thinking of finding a new family member to go check out the beautiful cats and dogs the society has to offer.
Here are a few of the sweeties I met:
Trixie is a beautiful Border Collie...I just love this dog! If I had room, I would have adopted her in a heartbeat!!

This beautiful girl was picked up by Animal Control and just came up for adoption

Just look at that adorable face!

Such pretty, intelligent green eyes....

Meet Ziggy, a pug mix who was surrendered.

This big ol' softy looks like he needs a lap to snooze in!

Don't forget to check out the Garage Sale at the Humane Society on Saturday, June 7th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can give them a call at 625-5252 for more info.
