...cause I'm swamped! Even though this is the case, I am having a super time with the process of editing Clint & Gina's super-awesome-way cool Halloween wedding...and because I CAN'T resist, no matter how crazy busy I am, here's just one for now.....
Honestly if I do say so myself, we were quite lucky to have this, it's not as if graffiti runs rampant in Hays America...ya know what I"m sayin'?
I am hoping to get the full preview up in the next day or two, I promise!!
So, I've grown up listening to Tracy Lawrence. He's just always been around as long as I can remember. I grew up with parents who thought Power 94.5 (now it's 97.5....all you people from around back home know what I'm talkin' about!) was ridiculous and bad music and.........you get the picture. :-)
Soooo when Tracy Lawrence was slated to sing at Wild West Fest, I was like, "oh, that's cool," but didn't get too excited. Boy, I should have...he puts on a heckuva good show!!! It was a perfect night for an outdoor concert. This was my first time to attend WWF (I know, how long have I lived in Hays? Naughty!) and I was impressed!
The crowd was crazy, and once he started playing there really wasn't much getting up and moving around unless you wanted to bulldoze people, so I shot from where I sat (and stood, once everyone in front of us started standing). These aren't the types of pictures I normally blog about, but hey, there's more to life than portraits and weddings. :-)
and because there was a ferris wheel there, I couldn't resist.
Miss P's mom contacted me a few weeks ago about a session at the park to grab some 15 month pictures of her. Yesterday was the big day, and I must say, Miss P is just about the biggest cutie I've ever seen!
Swinging with dad
Spending some quality time with mom
Just when I thought the only pretty ladies in white I'd see this year would be at weddings, Miss P came strolling out in this adorable dress!
Standing next to the only area of the park that kept her attention...the sand around the horseshoe pit...(hey, when you're 15 months old, it's gotta be messy to keep your attention!)
*sigh* look at those adorable eyes!
Thank you to the A family for choosing me to capture Miss P!!
It was a warm and sunny St. Patrick's Day for Kris and Nina's small wedding. Their closest friends and family gathered for a short ceremony followed by a laid back reception, and it was perfectly matched to their personalities...fun and relaxed. Kris has been a very close friend of mine, helping me survive my first year of college at FHSU (seems like a million years ago!). When he called me the week before he was going to propose to Nina, I was so excited for them! I was also glad I could be a part of their day and we had a great time wandering around downtown Hays for a fun session. It was my favorite kind of wedding photography..lots of fun shots of the bride and groom.
You may notice the lack of green....I was surprised too! Not a lot of green for being St. Patrick's Day! But that's how they roll!
You never know where you might find a photo op....like, in the bathroom at the courthouse!
Some strong flare....
Kris is an FHSU graduate, and Nina will be soon, so it was only fitting to get some shots in the Union....
