Chad & Jamie are Famous!

Well, sort of. :-) A few days ago, Emmaline Bride featured the story of Chad and Jamie's engagement and wedding on their blog? How cool is that?! Check it out by visiting their blog!
In other news, I haven't blogged for about 10,323,393 days because it's been CRAZY busy! I'm getting ready to leave for WPPI, a big photography tradeshow and convention in Las Vegas! I will be gone until the end of next week, so I apologize in advance for being slow to return emails. I will do my best! Stay tuned for some Vegas pictures in about a week!

Kenny & Micci - WaKeeney Wedding Photographer

Poor Micci. Her first experience meeting me was a bit of a wash, with me getting tied up in another meeting and not being able to get ahold of her.

When we finally met up, I was so glad we did! Even though she told me her and Kenny's wedding would be a smaller, quiet affair, I just had a feeling it was going to be good.

Fast forward to Friday night...sometimes my hunches do pan out! In a lovely church in WaKeeney, we took some pre-wedding pictures. It was too cold outside to spend much time out there, but we kept ourselves busy in the church, finding nooks and crannies to use for pictures. Kenny and Micci's families were so easy to get along with and so happy to be there, it was amazing! I truly enjoyed spending time with them.

The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, with Kenny's daughter serving as one of his attendants, and the other children were involved as well. From the church, we headed to the reception. I had never been to WaKeeney during the Christmas season, and was enthralled with the main street decorations! Kenny and Micci, being the good sports they are, easily agreed to go back to the street and do a few shots in the 30˙ weather.

At the reception, Micci's daughter Stephanie read an unexpected heartfelt speech. Perhaps one of the best speeches I've heard, it was simple yet emotional - and although there was no dance planned, Kenny and Micci ended up having an impromptu first dance to one of their ceremony songs.

All in all...what a great celebration of two people who love and respect each other. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day!

Just a few pictures from the day...Micci, you are a such a beautiful person inside and out, and Kenny, you are such a good sport to put up with all the pictures :-)

just in case you forgot what time of the year it was, WaKeeney won't let you forget! Love it!

Clint & Gina - The Slideshow

So it's only been 2 weeks.....I know, I'm running behind! That being said, I think it's worth the wait. Check it out!

There are quite a few pictures, so go get a cup of coffee (or a Dr. Pepper if you're like me!), settle back while the slideshow loads and enjoy the show!

Clint & Gina - the FULL sneak peek! | Hays Wedding Photographer

It's finally here....the full SNEAK PEEK!

When I first met Clint and Gina (and Alice, Clint's mom) at our consultation, I was quite excited by the thought of a Halloween wedding...the details they had planned sounded incredible!

The day was finally here, and let me tell you, the Fox Pavilion looked AMAZING thanks to hours and hours of decorating!

We started the day with Gina getting ready in the upstairs dressing room.

Gina's dress was a-mazing. Let me say it again....a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

The gorgeous table settings were just perfect!

The cake table looked fantastic, as did the cake itself!

As a gift to their guests, Clint and Gina set up a lavish spread of candy, and provided cartons for guests to take home their favorite treats.

I'm not gonna lie, these candy skulls were my favorite candy, plus they're pretty!

The invitation and dress rehearsal reminder were so cool..... gives a new meaning to tying a string around your finger to remember!

Gina's gorgeous bouquet

Once again, the attention to detail: AMAZING. Check out the uber-fab Clint's cufflinks:

Gina rockin' red and silver eyelashes and her gorgeous vintage jewelry!

speaking of vintage, here's a little vintage-processing:

I loved the special drink collection offered to guests - this one was my favorite - it looked so good!

As guests were seated for the ceremony, the bridal party chilled in the cigar room off the bar area.

I cannot tell a lie...the Fox is amazing!

After the ceremony, Clint and Gina got into costume and we hit up the dressing room for a few portraits.

The food was delicious!

Nothing like seeing your name in lights! (or at least on the marquee ;-) )

First dance:

Clint and Gina, your wedding was amazing! I wish you the best of luck and enjoy your honeymoon!!!

just one for now....

...cause I'm swamped! Even though this is the case, I am having a super time with the process of editing Clint & Gina's super-awesome-way cool Halloween wedding...and because I CAN'T resist, no matter how crazy busy I am, here's just one for now.....

Honestly if I do say so myself, we were quite lucky to have this, it's not as if graffiti runs rampant in Hays America...ya know what I"m sayin'?

I am hoping to get the full preview up in the next day or two, I promise!!

Chad & Jamie - I Do - Holton Kansas Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Chad and Jamie's big day. You may remember earlier this year I shot their e-session with their horses, and we had a great time!

The day started at the McCauley Ranch southwest of Holton. I spent some time getting detail shots, as well as getting ready shots. I loved the red barns, and how they fit in perfectly with Chad and Jamie's lifestyle!

Portraits.....

I loved these cute little details during the outdoor ceremony:

When Chad and Jamie drove away, they did it bigtime!!

I always love the first dance!

Chad and Jamie, I hope you've enjoyed your honeymoon! Best wishes to you both!

Bryce & Trisha - Hays Wedding Photographer

Last weekend I enjoyed getting to know Bryce and Trisha over the course of their wedding day. Although they have moved away from where they grew up, it was important to go home to get married, which I simply loved.

The day kicked off with Trisha getting ready for her big day with the assistance of her mother and bridesmaids. A few details....

After a private first look, we set off for some pictures.

After the ceremony, we headed off to the reception.

I loved this wall at the reception hall!

First dance as husband and wife.

Bryce & Trisha, congratulations on your big day! I really enjoyed spending it with you, and hope you are off having a fab time on your honeymoon. I know you won't see this until you get back, and I will hopefully have your slideshow up too!

Eric & April - Hays Kansas Wedding Photographer

I met Eric and April earlier this year, and was excited to shoot their wedding ever since! The day kicked off with a first look inside the older, beautiful church. I just love these shots!

Soon after we headed around town for a short photo session. We found several places to hit up that made for fun backdrops.

I just love their rings....

The flowergirl and the ringbearer burning off a bit of excess energy.

At the reception, I grabbed a few shots of the cake table....
